55This is a very nice quiet oasis in the city. The yard itself isn’t huge, like a yard for fetch, but it is perfect for relaxing. The fencing is high and secure so the yard is private. The yard has some fruit trees in it and AstroTurf. There is a nice table and some chairs. The location of the yard is great, close to Santa Monica and Hollywood.David A.

55Mel’s yard was exactly as described, and she was kind enough to leave out water and a bed for my pup as well as a chair for me. My dog loved all of the new sniffs, we would definitely visit again!Sergey K.

55This was our first Sniffspot adventure and my Goldendoodle had SO MUCH FUN! He prefers grass to run/play on, and a nice grassy area is almost impossible to find in the Arlington area, but Dave has a nice fenced yard on a really sunny corner (you will be the envy of everyone walking by with their dog wishing they had a place to play). This would also be a great spot if you have a puppy learning recall, since you could use your really long leash and practice, or even an older dog who likes his/her own space (or with their own fluffy friends) without getting trampled by energetic pups in a crowded park. We will definitely be back soon (with a fluffy friend)!! Note that in the description of the area, it is just people walking by on the sidewalk, you will be the only person in the fenced yard!Sergey K.

55Great experience. Rebecca was great, super flexible. The dog loved it... acres of room to run and new pig friends to top it off (in a separate pen, no co-mingling!). Only an hour from Portland, will definitely be going back!Sergey K.

55Loved the fact that after all the rain the footing was not muddy. My reactive dog loves this space. There are some blackberry vines toward the edge of the property so if you have a dog that scents into vines you might be careful. Owner has been helpful when she has people coming back-to-back. She let me come a few minutes early so I would be out of the space before the others arrived.Sergey K.

55This is a great spot in North Ballard to let your dog run around for a bit. It's open - for plenty of romping. My dog was excited to even find a tennis ball to play with during our time!Sergey K.

FAQ about our Portland dog parks
Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 100% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Portland area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 3 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 1 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
